She needed a nanny.
I needed a lead actress.
Somehow I became The Manny.

Secrets and lies are a killer way to start any partnership--especially a horizontal one.

Now, I'm a glass half full kinda of guy, so, after the 'you're fired' speech was directed at me, I figure now's the time to be the screenwriter I came to sunny California to be. Unfortunately, there are about as many people trying to sell a script in L.A. as there are vegans in the pacific northwest.

But lucky for me, a few weeks ago my agent found an investor for my script. Hooray, all my problems are solved! NOT.

Because the investor will only agree to fund my film if I use one specific actress. And that one specific actress? Well of course, it just has to be the same actress I screwed over only months before. But she doesn't need to know about that one tiny detail, does she? All that matters is getting her to agree to do the film and I'll do whatever it takes. We can leave the past, in the past, right?

I thought my charm would win her over. Never would I have been prepared for the terms she laid out on the table.

From a secret duo of USA Today Bestselling Authors, comes another sexy romcom STANDALONE.

descriptionPretty good cover on this one. Although I am not sure why their heads are cut off, but c'est la vie I guess. It is a great representation of the story. It also has good composition and eye catching title work as well.description

descriptionYou know I don't actually have much to say about this one. It was just a super sweet (maybe slightly predictable) feel good type of read, and I enjoyed it immensely. As per usual with these authors, the writing was excellent. The pace was excellent. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. It was sweet. It was funny (the diaper changing scene LMAO). It's a bit of a slow burn with no sex until 60%. There was a smidge of OW/OM drama but not a ton of angst. The secondary characters were interesting, and I can't wait to read about the other guys. Although there always seems to be a douche manwhore in the mix and this time it was Jagger. But I've got my fingers crossed that these authors can work their magic again and have me loving him by the end of his book. The kids were also adorable, and I loved Payne.

description

Both main characters were very likable. Vance was just a nice guy who had shit for brains when it came to a certain issue and of course, it blows up in his face (when doesn't it??) But he was adorable with Layla's kids. Layla was also quite likable. Although I did question her sanity at leaving her two kids with a guy she JUST meets and knew NOTHING about. But hey, it's fiction, so I let it go. Lastly, it was all wrapped up in a super sweet little ending that had me tearing up a bit. What more can you ask for? This gets two solid thumbs up from yours truly. Now bring on Leo's book!description

So the thing is, I put this book down two weeks ago and never had the urge to pick it up again.

The review is spoilerish from now on. Thought you should know.

Part of it are my expectations, I foolishly thought that Layla knew what Vance had done and that their animosity would stem from that. I expected it's from there on that they would build on their connection and whatnot. I expected a full-blown enemies-to-lovers romance. It's the blurb. It made me think I'll be getting something new and fresh.

Obviously, I was wrong. You can guess immediately what the main conflict will be about, and it's what made me lose interest in the story and characters. Another thing that I disliked was the insta-lust between the main characters and the dialogue that my eyes were exposed to as the result. Never have I ever read a cringier dialogue than the one that occurred when Layla and Vance first met. In no way am I a prude, but mentioning your dick size the first time you meet someone, moreover, on an occasion that was supposed to be a business meeting, is simply revolting.
The cringe is not limited to their first conversation either.

Now granted, there are some funny gems, especially that scene where Vance changes a diaper for the first time, that was really funny, so I'll give the author that. Generally speaking though, you've probably read this book before. I know I have. But don't let my high expectations and unfavorable opinion keep you from reading it, looking at the other reviews, seems that I'm in the minority here.

I was so excited to read this new series by Piper & Rayne! This duo does not disappoint as I laughed out loud, I swooned, and my stomach pitched. Oh yes and my ovaries exploded when I read how Vance fell for the kids. When he took care of both kids for the first time, I laughed so hard I had tears. I could picture it all! Plus look at the cover people! Sigh! Nothing better than a sexy man with a baby!

I am not going to give you any details about the book because I want you to experience this funny, heartwarming story about second chances and learning to trust. The book is told in dual POV and flows well. Once I started I didn’t want to stop. I was just one more chapter, just one more chapter until 2 AM when I finally finished the book! Vance and Layla are terrific characters and they definitely have strong personalities and amazing chemistry. The secondary characters are wonderful with the adorable Payne and Via (Olivia). The bromance between the friends of Vance, Leo and Jagger is so entertaining. They are all so different and it’s amazing with their very different personalities how well they mesh! Their commentary and banter is hilarious! I can’t wait to read their books!

If you want a funny, fast paced, very sexy read then I highly recommend The Manny!

5 Stars to The Manny: Dirty Truth Series #1 by author duo Piper Rayne.

I love this author duo! Since I discovered them, they've never let me down. Their writing style, talent for storytelling and the added angst they deliver in their books speaks to me as a reader. In my opinion, I don't believe they can write a bad book. I've read all the Piper Rayne books to date and can't wait to start their upcoming series, Bedroom Games.

The Manny is Vance and Layla's story. This book is loosely connected to the Single Dad's Club series. In that series Vance's sister gets her HEA. As a matter of fact there are a few cameos from characters in Piper Rayne's other series, Modern Love. The revisits are another fun aspect I love about this author's books.

Vance moved to LA years before to make it as a screenwriter. Along the way he ends up as a producer. When he ends up fired from his job due to a poor lack a judgement, Vance finds himself unexpectedly working as a manny for a celebrity where he not only grows close to the mother, but Vance falls completely for her children.

Layla was a great character. Yes she was a Hollywood actress, getting her start as a child star, but she was very down to Earth. She was great mom, and despite her famous persona, Layla was kind, considerate and very likable. Vance didn't have a chance; he lost his heart to them quickly.

But like the name of this series hints, Vance is keeping a secret. Sure he plans on being honest with Layla but he keeps putting it off. Well, you can guess what happens when **it hits the fan.

One of my favorite parts of this book was Vance's grand gesture. I already adored him from the first pages but he completely hooked me by the book's end. Vance was only gorgeous, sexy and a talented writer, he was a gentlemen, loving and protective. I genuinely believed he was perfect for Layla.

The writing in this book has no stutters and flows nicely. I was able to read The Manny in one sitting. As a matter of fact, after I finished, I quickly downloaded book two to my Kindle and devoured that one as well.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Yes, I need a manny!

Who'd have thought that a screen writer from Hollywood had missed his calling to become a full time, full service manny! We should all be so lucky to find in Vance what Layla found when she was looking to hire a nanny and she found Vance by chance.

This story had so many laugh out loud funny moments. Sure, I giggle reading a lot of books, but this one had me snort laughing and the tears of laughter were streaming down my face! There's just something about a hot guy turned babysitter changing a poopy diaper for the first time. This story made you fall hook line and sinker for one of the good guys of Hollywood.
He must take showers in a love potion because he was intoxicating! Vance made me turn into an emoji with two hearts for eyes!

Layla is protective of her heart as she is a soon to be divorced mom of a 4 year old and an 18 month old - Payne and Via. The instant connection that is made between Payne and Vance just warmed my heart. Vance was what was missing in Payne's life. I think Vance learned so much from Payne. He learned how to love. Stories like this just make me feel like a gooey s'more around a campfire. It was so sweet. And don't get me started on the ice cream!

I absolutely loved this story. It's the 7th book in this linked series and I've enjoyed every one of these quirky unicorn characters. They are real. They make me laugh. They make me swoon. I read as an escape. I have found a little bit of myself in all of the female characters in the world that Piper Rayne has created. It started in San Francisco, moved up the coast to Oregon and now we are down in Los Angeles. Being transported and immersed in these characters and stories is why I read.

Really looking forward to Jagger and Leo's stories in November and December!

The Manny didn't charm me. I didn't feel the chemistry between the main characters, the kids were boring (despite the fact they were both rambunctious), there was a theme again (this time divorcées swallowed the whole society), the final plot twist could be seen from outer space and the point of the hero being a screenwriter was just so he could meet the heroine and become a manny. The end. Even my father could write better plot and he hates this romance crap. Hey! I was at the dentist today, I'm allowed to spread the pain!

I have to start off saying I absolutely love Piper Ryan, their books have been some of my favourites lately!! In saying that this book wasn’t my favourite of theirs, I felt like there was just a little something missing if I’m being completely honest. Don’t get me wrong I still loved The Manny but I just wished there was a little more in the way of relationship between Vance and Layla.

I’m sure you’ve guessed that this book is about a single mom from the title but what the title doesn’t tell you is the struggles this particular mom faces! I have to admit I am a huge fan of single parent romance stories, I love reading about the characters bonding with children that rent their own and taking them on as if they are.

Vance is Charlie’s brother and after getting a little of him in Sexy Beast I couldn’t wait for his story. Throw in that he was going to become a Manny and this book just seemed right up my alley. I really liked Vance, he was such a likeable character and although he did some horrible things he definitely redeemed himself in my eyes.

Layla hasn’t had things easy lately, not only is her ex a complete and utter asshat but her son makes things difficult for the nannies she hires so she’s left without childcare for him. My heart broke for Layla, she was battling single parenthood alone while trying to balance an acting career. Anyone who has children knows how hard parenthood is so I had so much respect for her character, she really pushed her own desires aside for the most part and was an amazing mother.

The kids always steal the show in a single parent romance for me and this book was no different. Payne was such a rambunctious little boy that you just couldn’t help but fall in love with him, he is struggling with the lack of father figure in his life and I understood his acting out. Via was such a little sweetheart and stole my heart instantly alongside Vance’s!

I felt like the romance in this book was a little rushed, I would have loved to have seen more from Vance and Layla. There was plenty of time with the children but I felt like the story of their relationship could have been talked about and developed a little more.

I have read and loved Piper Rayne's books since the Bartender and honestly cant get enough of their humor and likeability. Their characters are sexy and honest and their chemistry is always hot. So when The Dirty Truth series dropped I was ecstatic. I loved Vance from Garrett's book (Sexy Beast) and needed to learn more about this man and his secrets!

While looking to achieve his Screenwriter dreams and bring his screenplay to life on the big screen, Vance Rose is in a bind. An investor wants to bring his movie to life but will only do it if Layla Andrews is the leading actress in the film. No problem, right? WRONG. When Layla decides she can't take the part unless she has a nanny for her kids... Vance has no choice and a "Manny" is born. But what happens when lines get crossed, attachments are formed and old secrets come to light? Can Vance and Layla make it work?

I enjoyed this novel like past Piper Rayne stories as they are filled with heart, humor and heat. But I did find that for the first half of the book the chemistry was lacking between them. It felt almost disjointed. Furthermore, at times Vance seemed sort of cold and detached and then when they did finally connect it seemed out of nowhere and more of a one-night stand for Vance versus a forever kind of love. Layla on the otherhand was fantastic. She was a single mother who put her kids first and was willing to make any sort of sacrifice for their well being and happiness. She was a mom first and foremost and her love and adoration for her children came out in spades.

I did feel that when she and Vance got together, it was sweet and fiery. All in all this was a good start to the series and I look forward to Leo's book. 3.5 stars! ~Ratula

I'm not saying this isn't a good read because that would be a lie. I enjoyed every page of it and didn't get bored or have enough of it and put it down. It was just a bit too "same old, same old". I love Piper Rayne books but there was nothing new in this one to excite me and whilst it had plenty of humour it didn't make me laugh loudly as I remember Lennon and Whitney doing.

I found both Vance and Layla to be very likeable, if flawed, characters BUT I didn't buy either of them in terms of their jobs. Layla is a fairly successful actress relying on a rent-a-nanny and having her youngest in day care? Didn't buy it. She felt like a low-income single mum struggling to make ends meet. Vance had been a hot shot producer but was a real dork at times. I've no huge experience of show business but he was a well known name in LA but never gave the impression of being a 'got it together executive type'.

I also didn't buy his amazing ability to win over Payne when he had zero experience of handling children. It was lovely to read about, and yes this is a work of fiction so ANYTHING can happen, but it was just too cliched.

If you haven't read all their previous 6 books (and maybe even if you have) then the chances are you will find this a well written rom-com (because their writing always is just that). You will enjoy the story and like the side characters (because these girls really can write). I just felt these were a rehash of the Single Dad's Club books. We have the down-to-earth one, the man-whore and the reserved, heartbroken one. As I said at the start, this is a good book. My struggle is just that FOR ME it didn't feel 'different' enough from the previous books.

This was one of those books that I just couldn't put down. After reading about Vance in his sister Charlie's story, Sexy Beast, I was very excited for this one, and Piper Rayne did not disappoint.

Vance had recently returned home from his time in Climax Cove at the start of the story and things quickly took off from there. He was looking to put his previous job behind him and follow his real passion of script writing. His very interesting friends in LA fully support him and their efforts lead him to Layla's doorstep. She's the actress his investor wants to be in the movie Vance has written a script for. When he shows up to discuss things with Layla, she has a counter offer. He needs an actress, she needs a Manny. What follows is a sweet, funny, and steamy romance with a great leading couple, 2 adorable kids and a couple of best friends I can't wait to read about in future books.

Piper Rayne is quickly becoming an author duo that I look forward to their next book. I know I will enjoy the plot, the characters, and the entertaining dialog. I hope to keep getting more books from them for a long time to come.

4.5*

I just want to start by saying I love how Piper Rayne has built an entire fictional world out of the 3 series they've written/are writing so far. I've really enjoyed how they've taken characters and crossed them over into new series, without making you feel like you're really missing anything if you haven't read the previous series. And I think it's great how we get peeks of characters from the earlier books- it's always nice to catch up with old "friends"!

With that said, Vance was originally introduced in his sister Charlotte's book, Sexy Beast. The glimpse we got of him led me to believe there was more to his story than what he was presenting to everyone- and sure enough, there was! But it wasn't anything nefarious or wicked, he had just hit a bump in the road in his career.

The Manny is a really sweet, lighthearted romance with just a touch of angst to keep things interesting. Vance and Layla strike a bargain that is beneficial to them both, and from there things get interesting. It was so fun to watch Vance find his groove as the "manny"! He had his work cut out for him at first, but boy did he embrace the challenge after his initial hesitancy. The relationship he developed with the kids ended up being quite precious.
And when it came to his relationship with Layla, let's just say things get a little hot in the kitchen!

But when you're keeping a secret from someone and you don't come clean right away, be prepared for some heartache. Although I knew what was coming, and I was on edge waiting for the shoe to drop, how it came about was a bit of a surprise. I felt sad for Vance, but I loved how he worked to make things right. I think he and Layla, and the kids, were just perfect together and I was rooting for them all. The epilogue was beyond sweet!

And let's just touch on the friendship between Vance, Leo, and Jagger, shall we? I just love a good bromance and the one these 3 shared was just awesome. I love how they have each other's backs, and I can't wait for Jagger and Leo's stories!

The Manny: The Dirty Truth Series by Piper Rayne
“Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, 5 stars”

Have you ever struck a deal that you wonder if you’ll regret? But you know in the long run you’ll get what you wanted out of the deal? Then once your fulfilling your end of the deal you stop and wonder if you got in over your head. Yep, that’s basically how Vance felt I’m 99% sure. And his discomfort made me laugh my butt off, then had me swooning once he found his stride.
Vance has done what he’s always wanted to do since he came to L.A. He wrote a script for a movie and is this close to turning it into a movie, but there is one stipulation his investor has, make Layla the leading lady. Only problem is him and Layla don’t have the best of history, one of which Layla and the investor don’t know about. Will he be able to convince her to take a chance on him and his script?
Layla has had enough. She’s a tired, overworked mom just trying to do her best. Her ex is never around to help and she can’t keep a nanny around long enough to say she has one. It’s not that her kids are bad, just a little attention starved. When she finds Vance on the stairs of her trailer to talk about her movie she’s about to break. Instead of showing him her weakness she decides to strike a deal, one that makes him a temporary many for three weeks.
Vance never expected to fall for the kids let alone their mom. But when you know you know. Layla doesn’t know if she can go through another relationship, she’s been burned by one too many, but for Vance she’s willing to try. I loved these two, they were hot and literally made for each other. I adored Layla’s littles and can totally relate because I have a daughter the same age as her son. Vance’s two buddies? I am more than looking forward to getting to know them and their stories. Cheers to Piper and Rayne for knocking another one out of the park!

Oh, my goodness, gracious! Piper Rayne has done it again! The Manny is exactly what we have come to know, love and expect from Piper Rayne.

The Manny, is guess what... about a single mom, and we all know that I am a HUGE fan of single-parent romance, being a single mom myself I feel like I connect with these characters better than any other. The way that Vance instantly connected with Layla's children made my heart rejoice int he beauty of it.

Vance and Layla had a very volatile, combustible relationship in the beginning, mainly because they were fighting their attraction for each other and they were both in difficult places in their lives.

The Manny was a quick read that held my attention throughout and didn't lull in the middle. There was just enough drama and sexy time to keep you intrigued. If you are looking for a happy upbeat single parent romance that will leave you with a smile on your face, then grab The Manny today!

I have really loved Piper Rayne and their stories but The Manny didn't do it for me.

I wasn't a fan of how Vance decided to present himself. He touches Layla several times without even thinking. He was so overt and I was turned way off by it. Other than that, we got a typical romance story.

Layla was trying to not only navigate Hollywood, but also newfound single-parenthood (which also bugged me because she wasn't officially divorced when they started sleeping together). Vance just wanted to please investors and get Layla to do his movie. They had no intentions of falling for each other but they did.

At the end of this book, I was happy because they were finally able to be honest with each other. The series of miscommunications throughout the book were sky-high and so avoidable. Anyway, this one it getting a solid three from me because of reasons mentioned.

I enjoyed reading this one but I wasn't a page turnering laugh out loud book like Piper Rayne's first series.

This is Vance's book and he is the brother to Charlie and best friend of Garrett. It was fun to watch Vance go from a man that really didn't want anything to do with a family to falling in love with Layla and her children. Honestly it was a sweet read and I was glad I read it.

Layla was a good character for me too. I have issues with female leads because they tend to overthink and drag out the drama but Piper Rayne didn't let that happen and it was a smooth transition from drama to HEA.

I'm excited to see what is in store for Leo.

Piper Rayne is another author duo that I love.
With Vance and Layla there is funny times, happy times, sad moments, and upsetting times.
It’s an easy read and there is even a couple scenes with Charlie, Vance’s sister.

NO SPOILERS!

The Manny was an incredibly unique, sweet, sexy, humorous, and highly entertaining standalone romantic comedy, and I absolutely loved it! The storyline and characters that Piper Rayne created were amazing, and I loved the entire concept. I haven't read many Hollywood-style romances, but The Manny has been one of the best - if not the best - I've ever read. The Manny has been my favorite novel from Piper Rayne so far, and I absolutely loved everything from beginning to end!

Vance and Layla were amazing and I loved them and their story so much. I loved their personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I also loved reading the book from both Vance and Layla's POV, and I immensely enjoyed all of their banter and interactions with each other. The concept of their story was so unique and unlike anything I had read before. There were plenty of hysterical and laugh-out-loud moments that had me smiling and cracking up, and I absolutely adored Layla's kids, Payne and Via. They were so adorable and I loved their addition to the story. I also enjoyed Vance's best friends, Leo and Jagger, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading their stories in the rest of the Dirty Truth series. The Manny completely exceeded my expectations and so much more, and I absolutely loved everything about it from start to finish. The conclusion to Vance and Layla's story was perfect and made me extremely happy.

The Manny was a unique, sweet, sexy, humorous, and highly addicting and entertaining standalone romantic comedy, and an excellent start to the Dirty Truth series. The amazing and talented author duo that is Piper Rayne did a phenomenal job with this book, and I was very pleased with the outcome to Vance and Layla's story. The Manny was truly amazing and hands down my favorite rom com from Piper Rayne to date, with Sexy Beast not far behind. I have honestly enjoyed every single story I've read from this author duo so far, and I am so excited to read more from them, especially the rest of the Dirty Truth series!

4 unexpected stars

This was possibly the funniest book i read by this author duo so far, and i've read quite a few so far! It had just about everything that i love about their books, but delivered in such a way that i connected with the characters in ways i didn't even expect! Too often i'd find myself laughing out loud in the middle of the room when everyone else was watching tv (and trust me, there was nothing funny happening that would explain why i'd suddenly burst out laughing... so i looked more like a laughing lunatic, but didn't care!)

4 breath taking dreams

It had everything i'd be looking for in their books: romance, dirty talk, humour and situations that are realistic so i could find myself in the story, see the characters as friends of mine (without the Hollywood aspect). For sure i'll be looking forward to seeing what else this series has to offer because Piper Rayne absolutely has something really great going on with this new series!

Hilariously funny! What does a man do when his lifelong dream is about to come true? Anything at all in order to make it come true!

Vance is a successful Hollywood producer. Now he is ready to write his own script and using his real name, make the movie he was meant to do. One catch, his investor wants a specific actress for the lead... and she might be trouble.

Layla is about to divorce her estranged husband. She holding on by her fingernails as she continues to work in supporting roles and raise her two young children. One, in particular, Payne (yes, just like pain) is acting up because of the divorce. Three nannies in one week and they all left running! So what does Layla need in order to sign on to Vance's film? She needs a Manny ~ a man nanny~ who will watch over Payne while she finishes her current film.

I was roaring out loud as I was reading this book. Great for an escape and tingling with sex appeal.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.

OMG!!!! This book is amazingly, awesomely good!

Vance & Layla steal your heart in this heartwarming-ly hilarious romance of dirty diapers, second chances and love. It was quite an entertaining ride, watching Vance develop in character and Layla learn to trust.

I laughed so hard at the snarky, sarcastic banter between the characters, and had a huge smile on my face at the end. I definitely have to read some more Piper Rayne books, and look forward to Leo & Jagger's stories.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book, and without any hesitation, I recommend it to you!

This book is predictable, but sweet! I feel like nothing much really happened but it was a very quick and simple read. Vance and Layla are very sweet together and I would have loved to see their relationship build more, but I really enjoyed their chemistry. It was also so cute to see how Vance loved and cared for Payne and Via. I wasn't the biggest fan of Jagger but he did come through in the end. Overall, the characters were very enjoyable and it was a sweet story. The only thing I was confused about was Carver's sudden active(?) role at the end and it had me questioning what his intentions were since he appeared out of nowhere.

The Manny is the first in a new series, Dirty Truth by writing duo Piper Rayne. Vance, the main character did appear in a previous book and it was from there I have been eager to read his story.

Vance is back in LA after a brief visit to his home town to recoup when he had been sacked from his executive producer job on a hit TV show. His real dream though has always been to be a screenwriter and now with a possible hit in his hands he turns to his best friend Jagger who has all the right contacts to help him make it happen. However the investor he finds to back the film has one caveat and that is he must cast Layla as the leading lady.

Layla is a past child star and now trying to find a role that will catapult her to the heights as an adult star. It will also distance her from her ex-husband who was a co child star with her. When she is contacted about a new film script she insists the writer delivers it personally to her. What she doesn’t realise is that the meeting between them will lead to some unexpected developments.

This was a quick and enjoyable light romantic comedy, although I had secretly yearned that Vance’s story would be a more in depth storyline as he was so enigmatic when in a previous book. However the characters were engaging, the storyline fun and sexy and a good start to a new series about the three best friends, Vance, Jagger and Leo.

Overall a light hearted and steamy romp and although there were parts I raised my eyes at (Layla leaving her two young children with a man she barely knew?) I read it in one sitting. Four stars.

I gave this book 4.5 stars!

Piper Rayne has done again Ladies!!! They will have you want your own Manny!!! I'm calling dibs on Vance! He is a sexy screen writer but who also can take care of kids like no other!!! The Manny is filled with laughter, a little drama and whole lot of romance. I absolutely I've the characters and I could get enough of them. I simply devoured this book in matter of hours. Ladies, Vance will leave you wanting more and asking yourself if there is a Manny out there for you.

Vance was fired from his producing job. He is taking a chance on his dream of selling his movie script. When he secures and investor, she only wants one actress to play the part Layla Andrews.

Layla is putting the peices of her life back together after her marriage has ended. When approached to star in a new movie, she reads the scipt and loves it but she has one problem...she needs a nanny.

Vance is willing to do whatever it takes to get Layla on board...even if it means becoming The Manny! Neither one knew that spending time together would have such a big impact on their lives especially since Vance has a secret..... Can these two have it all or will the secret come between them?

As usual I can't wait for the other stories to come out!

If I had kids I would want Vance to be my manny, hands down. He’s just wrote a script and the only way to get funding for it is too hire Layla, an actress who he has in the past betrayed. Layla accepts the acting job and during their time she manages to swindle Vance to be the manny because no other nanny has been able to handle her oldest son except for Vance. During their time together their attraction grows and soon it’s love but there is that little secret from his past that can undo everything including his relationship. Will it come out ?
A great read with steamy scenes and quite a few scenes that made me laugh out loud and kept me chuckling even after a few chapters. I also loved the interaction Vance had with the kids, he was patient and listened to them and treated them with respect every time and is why I would hire him to be my manny in a heartbeat. Layla is not like other actresses, she’s not a diva and demanding, she’s a kind, compassionate woman and a great mother who would do anything for her kids.
A read that had me laughing throughout it as well as swooning and sighing at these two and had me smiling from ear to ear with their HEA and a beautiful epilogue to go along with it. Can’t wait for the next one of Vance’s friends (Jagger or Leo) to find “the one”.

Oh let me tell you something about that Manny Vance!!! First off I need a Manny and my kids are grown!!! If you keep up with my reviews at all you know that I love Piper Rayne!!! So far everything that they have written has been absolutely amazing and this book is no different. Once you start reading this book will pull you in with its charm. And once you start reading you want stop. They can pull you into their worlds so easily it's like one minute it's morning and you started reading and the next it's afternoon and you are done with the book but haven't done anything else. I also love how they tie their other books/series in. And in this book even though you get the drama and the hot as sin sexy times that will leave you all hot and bothered and needing a shower!!! And Vance,Leo and Jagger's bro times together which I love!!! You also have more time with kids in this book and I love the dynamic. And men with babies I mean come on ladies that just hot as all get out especially if they have no idea or if they truly enjoy it!! So yes I loved loved this book!!! I swear these books just keep getting better and better but I still can't choose which man I love most so I choose all of them!!! I highly highly recommend this book!!! - By Tina

I’m excited anytime I hear Piper Rayne is releasing a new series! The Dirty Truth series is on its way and starts off with The Manny.

Vance (brother of Charlie in Sexy Beast) and Layla are both part of the Hollywood scene. Vance needs a star for his movie and the person funding the project only wants Layla. Vance is instantly smitten with Layla and when she needs help with her two small children, he steps in immediately. Let the fun begin!!

Vance would love to be the leading man in Layla’s life...but yet he played the villain in her past..she just doesn’t know it. Yet.

The Manny was a quick, fun, sexy read with a lot of sweet and just a pinch of drama! Layla and Vance had immediate chemistry and a slow burn that made this book HOT. However, Layla’s kids, Payne and Via absolutely stole the show!! Vance’s friends Leo and Jagger are the funniest thing ever and I look forward to the meeting them in the next two books in the series!

The Manny is the beginning of another wonderful series from Piper Rayne. It wonderful how they have managed to weave characters from their other stories into the new ones. It allows us, the readers, to remember the wonderful memories of previous stories.
Vance and Layla have a history, but it only clear to one of them. As they work through what exactly their relationship is going to be, they discover that they are exactly what the other needs.
Some of the best scenes in the book belong to Payne. Piper and Rayne must have a lively home with their kids, because they have written the kids in this book to perfection.
This was a really, really enjoyable read. The storyline was entertaining, the characters so true to life that they could walk right off the page and the writing was marvelous.
