"This suspenseful, action-packed book is meant to keep you on the edge and leave you hungry for more!"

"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."

Militaty operations, secret serums and a team that it wasn't meant to be publicly known except to the highest bidder. Operation Mayhem was a coordinated group of ex-soldiers, who transformed into super-soldiers under their General's instructions. The team was unawared that they had been used as experimental subjects. When they were finally freed from their captor and learned the truth, it became their mission to put General down once and for all, and also, find a solution how to become normal again. This time, tho, the risks are higher than ever before and the danger to lose the people they care about is waiting outside their door. What will happen next, no one knows but they are ready to fight it.

Mayhem's Hero, the third book of the series, prepares the ground for an epic ending. I don't know how many books will be needing to complite the series but in this one the tables are seems like they will be turning soon.

Feeling responsible for the death of one of his teammates, and the comatose state of an other, Diggs continues to belittling himself for his disability of his powers. The luck of his confidence came to eliminate Audra's unexpected presence. She rocked his world with her feminine appearance and the underneath tough demeanor. Diggs knows that Audra has a secret. That her strong connection with her dog, a service dog trained by the military, isn't just a simple love for pets. When the masks fall off, Diggs promised to help her out finding the truth behind her brother's death at any cost but he didn't consider one thing. His feelings...
Even if I am a huge fan of Hicks, I admired Diggs' character very much. He is an skillful man, a multi-tasked soldier and an indescribable committed friend.

Audra lost her only living family she cared for. Before he died, her brother send her a video message warning her to hide and stay away from the military. The only remaining connection to her brother is Trigger, his service dog, who had been with him the day he died. Finding Trigger infrond of Diggs' mansion beaten to death, wasn't planned. Audra let Diggs to help her out but when she learned he was a soldier, she managed to escape but put herself into a well planned trap.
The hard-to-get women are what make so special these books for me and Audra couldn't be a difference. She has the force of a lioness, ready to risk her life and fight for justice. Her persistence in the end warmed my heart and I found it hard not to love and admire her.

I was riveted while reading Mayhem's Hero. It's a constant feeling when I read my favorite author's books. She never cease to amaze me, tho! Each new story overtakes the others, highlighting the versatile abilities the author has in the warlike subject. Each book deals with important themes based to the heroes lives alongside the military topic. The narration so honed to details, has the power to captivate and drown any reader's attention into the story. Diggs and Audra's relationship is the toughest than the other couples. Watching them be confronted by their fears while fighting the same enemy is unnerving and at the same time encouraging. For one more time, the author was able to mix the right amount of romance and action to get a phenomenal story. I sure can't wait for the continue...

I hope I intrigue your imagination and made you grab the book yourselves and find out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.

Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.

As always such a pleasure to read this author's work! The guys of Mayhem have been through so much and they still have a long ways to go. And I love the journey.

When Diggs catches a drone flying over their compound he is determined to find the threat and eliminate it. That is until Reaper calls him off. They have new intelligence and the have to follow up.

Audra has just buried her brother and she had to go by the place she grew up because the military shipped his belongings to the wrong place. They did promise that he k-9 partner had gone to a loving home. She believed them until she sees the cage sitting outside her father's rundown place with a purple heart with his name on it. Now it's a race to see if she can get to him fast enough to save him.

Diggs feels useless. He has always been the runt and never good enough; not to mention the guilt he carries about his teammates. So when he's left behind to Intel while they are out in the field he isn't happy about it. When the alarm goes off and he sees something that turns his gut he doesn't waste a minute before taking matters into his own hands. That doesn't mean it will be easy.

This is a fantastic book, the characters are phenomenal and I love it! I think you will too.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Diggs is still suffering from the self imposed guilt he feels at letting down his team mates. He feels he let Quantum and Crenshaw down when he couldn't save them. But he was lying near death himself but he just can't see past his guilt. He also feels that his enhancement is bit of a non starter - being the teams bloodhound is not exactly earth shattering!

Audra is in a state of shock after the death of her brother. She needs to take care of his former K9 partner but he has been sent to their father instead. When she arrives she finds Trigger missing and she knows that he is at the mercy of the man who made her life a misery. But when she finds Trigger, she finds a huge man looming over him and snaps! Poor Diggs almost comes a cropper! He finally gets her to calm down and they return to the compound to save Trigger.

But all the military talk and their compound put Audra on edge and she makes off with her furry charge! But she soon finds herself in real danger and has to accept that she jumped from safety into the volcano!

Diggs is so down on himself - unusual in a such an evidently alpha man. But his esteem has really taken a knock and when he finds out something reprehensible about a former team mate - he falls deeper into his own personal hell! Audra is stubborn and determined but she did take a while to warm up to! She was so naive sometimes, especially when she flees the compound with Trigger, that I really wanted to slap her for being so dense!

There are a couple of surprises in store and they are HUUUGE! We realise that the mind games didn't just stop at turning Mayhem into a killing machine. They truly mucked about with their brains.

Military romance with all the feels…

Mayhem is a good description for the many things this group of military brothers are dealing with. Betrayed, they are fighting for their lives and the truth. Diggs is battling his present and his past. He is in pain, suffering so much for what he sees as his shortcomings. I hurt for him and Audra as they struggled to find meaning and hope through their losses. How they got together made me sniffle more than once but out of that cluster came so much good…

This series is all about brotherhood and survival. And luckily, love. The characters are easy to like as the men, and women, are tough and smart with warmth hiding just under the surface. Diggs felt the most vulnerable out of their group and the issues he struggled with – self-worth and his place in the world – made my heart hurt and melt at the same time. He and Audra may have not started on the right foot but once they did, the sparks flew and flew… Audra was stubborn and Diggs was going to have to give in. Eventually…

Two steps forward, one step back may have been the rhythm but it was all high-octane with feels to spare. The ending was quick but the glimpses into King’s story had me already thinking about the next book…

Well I will not be continuing this series.
Good concept.
Very few errors.

My problems are the repetition and unending internal thoughts.

Other thoughts later.

It also lost a lot of the sci-fi elements. They were barely touched on.

I hated the TSTL moments on both mc's parts.

It wasn't horrible but it just isn't enough for me.
Each book seemed to be more lacking than the one before in the elements I need to feel really involved in the story.

It is a middle of the road read.

Mayhem’s hero is the next book by Lindsay and it’s phenomenal. I can honestly say each book is better than the last. Audra has just lost her brother overseas and learns that not only did the military send his possessions to her abusive father at his trailer, but also her brother’s beloved K9 who lost a leg in the same explosion. On her way to save the dog from her father, she encounters Diggs, who it appears has already stopped her father from beating the dog to death. After helping her, Audra feels unsafe and runs with the dog putting herself in more danger than she originally thought. When Diggs rescues her a second time, the chemistry they feel for each other is harder to deny.

Well written and includes everything you expect from a Lindsay Cross book. I received an advance copy for my honest review and I give it voluntarily.

Twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat!

Diggs is full of guilt over what happened to his teammates in the labs of project mayhem. He has lived his whole life feeling as if he's the weak link. When he witnesses a man beating a dog with a baseball bat, he knows he has to help. That act puts him in the line of Audra, who is tracking down her late brother's service dog and his murderer.

Audra knows her brother wasn't killed in the line of duty, he was murdered. As she gets closer to the truth, she realizes that she is now being targeted. She has to put her trust in Diggs and his team to help her bring her brother justice.

I loved the action and danger and the desire to know what happens next. Add Inan awesome dog, who I would take home in a heartbeat, and I couldn't put this book down! I can't wait to find out what happens next. Something major happens to two team members and I'm itching for the next book in the series!

I am enjoying this series more and more with each installment! The main storyline that streams through each of these books absolutely has me hooked. There was one development in this story that I was so excited about and can't wait to see how it plays out in the next book! It was also great to learn about Diggs' special ability!

The romance in this story is Diggs and Audra, and they are such a great match. I loved their dynamic, and Audra is strong and feisty heroine. The action was great and I couldn't put the book down! I do wish it had been just a little longer as it seemed a touch rushed, but it was still highly enjoyable! Eagerly awaiting the next installment!

The book is part of a series which centers around military men who volunteered to be part of Project Mayhem. A project that is not only top secret project , but also one that enhances the abilities of these men. But not everything is as it seems.
In this story we have Diggs and Audra. Diggs is still trying to find himself after all the secrecy and Audra is trying to find out what really happened to her brother, also a military man, now dead. She receives an incriminating message and now her goal is to save her brother’s K-9 dog , Trigger. But nothing is easy or simple. She will need the help of Diggs to accomplish her goal. All while not really wanting to deal with another military man.
A story filled with bad guys, a hunky good guy, a feisty woman, danger, secrets, a dog, and maybe love.
I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Diggs believes he always lets everyone down. He believes the bad things that have happened are his fault he should have been able to stop it.
I liked this story, self sacrificing, stopping animal cruelty, dealing with ptsd, learning that maybe you are good enough.

I’m seriously digging this book!

Diggs had always thought that he was a failure in Project Mayhem and he saw himself the weakest in the team. He had watched his best friend die and he took that burden every single day, angry at himself for having not done anything to prevent it.

Audra Wade’s brother was killed in action in the military, but he managed to send his sister a circumstancial video moments before he died. Trigger, her brother’s service dog, was what’s left of him as a reminder. She promised to care for it as her own and vowed never to trust anyone especially the military. When she crossed paths with Diggs, she retaliated against him and escaped under his nose even after he’d saved her dog’s life.

After almost getting killed by a group of men, Audra and Diggs realized they’re in a much deeper situation than what they thought.

Alright, I just finished crying again because of these men. Mayhem’s Hero is Diggs, and he’s my hero, even after all his guilt trip. His willingness to disobey orders to tend to a badly beaten dog got me right from the start. I myself have a pet dog whom my children and I love so much, and I’m willing to do everything to keep it safe. I admired Diggs a lot because of that.

I understood Audra’s wariness with the soldiers after what’s happened to her brother. But what I loved the most was her resilience and stubbornness when it came to the ones she loved. Sure showed how brave and strong she was.

To date, Mayhem’s Hero is my favorite in Lindsay Cross’s Project Mayhem series. I dig Diggs a lot, I admire Audra and her dog and I love everyone in the team, and most especially, I love how this story unfolded. We learned more of evil Gen. Rainier’s plans and the fate of the other soldiers, Dawson and Quantum and I thought it was such a genius storyline. The twist really had me gaping in astonishment.

Just when I thought I already knew everything about Mayhem, Lindsay Cross comes barging in with surprising twists and a whole new plot that really got me on edge. This is definitely one of the best I’ve read so far in her military series and I sure am excited for what’s next to come.

Mayhem’s Hero by Lindsay Cross
Operation Mayhem #3

Men who took an oath to honor and serve were hoodwinked into joining an experiment that left them in dire straits. This series deals with the men, finding a cure for their altered beings, getting revenge AND the women they end up falling in love with.

In this book Diggs meets his mate in Audra while he is saving her brother’s injured K-9 partner being abused by her father. Her brother was sent home in a coffin but Trigger managed to survive and was sent home to a fate almost worse than death. With Audra leery of all military men her encounter with the Mayhem team had her sneaking away as quickly as she could not realizing just what horrible options there were waiting for outside the Mayhem compound.

There is violence, animal abuse, military action, evil to thwart, trust to be won, love to be enjoyed and there are more men waiting their mates so more books to read in the near future. I will say that this book is more sci-fi fantasy in some ways because the men are super-men and this time Audra was capable of doing more than most after undergoing the ordeal she did. That is fine in a book like this because it is a fantasy more than a reality and fun without having to be based in reality.

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Diggs has never felt as if his family cared, so when he joined the military he created his own family. When his unit became a part of Project Mayhem, his new family entered the unknown, him especially. Leaving him yet again, unsure of his place.

Audra knows something went wrong during a mission of her brother's, and his cryptic message to her proves it. When she learns his K-9, Trigger, was left in their father's care, she knows her brother wouldn't want him with the abusive man.

Though Diggs can help her find the answers she needs, and her attraction to him is obviously returned, she knows she must guard her heart. The military took her brother away from her, and there's no way she can fall for a man she could lose as well.

But as they work together to find out what happened, their connection grows stronger, and resisting it isn't an option.

Can Diggs and Audra learn what happened? Can Audra rescue Trigger from her dad? Can Audra prove to Diggs how amazing he truly is? Is a HEA possible for them?

One-click now and follow along as two people, both struggling although for different reasons, find a love that can heal their broken hearts.

Diggs feels he let Quantum and Crenshaw down when he couldn't save them. He was dying himself but the guilt is too much.

Audra is upset she lost her bother and wants to take care of his former K9 partner but the man who made her life miserable has him now and she saves him.

Meantime Diggs goes into a deep depression when he finds out a team member did something that is unforgivable.

There are some things that go on that will leave you wanting to turn the pages and some times in shock of what goes on.

The author did an excellent job with the characters and the plot.

Diggs and Audra meet saving her dead brothers service dog Trigger. Audra is strong and sassy and Diggs is all alpha. Audra has a serious distrust of military due to her brothers death and the mystery behind it. Add in a corrupt Colonel, gold, a team member returning from the dead and one from a coma and you have an action packed, edge of your seat,I need more read. Highly recommend.

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--MAYHEM’S HERO is the third full-length instalment in Lindsay Cross’ contemporary, adult OPERATION MAYHEM romantic suspense sci-fi series focusing on an elite group of genetically enhanced super soldiers. This is Audra Wade, and former Special Forces ordinance officer Diggs’ story line

SOME BACKGROUND: A secret military experiment known as Project Mayhem, headed by Jack Mankel, General Rainier and Dr. Winters, hoping to create a super soldier has left several victims in its’ wake. US military Captain T. K. Reaper’s team of former Special Forces soldiers ‘volunteered’ unaware of what it was they had volunteered for or why. Hoping to avenge the death of a fellow soldier, Reaper frees his teammates (Mercy and Mayhem .5) only to discover the tests are continuing using a young woman as the source of the drug. Operation Mayhem are their stories.

Told from several third person perspectives including Audra and Diggs MAYHEM’S HERO follows in the wake of Audra Wade’s brother Jeremy’s death while on assignment in the Middle East. A cryptic message, and the beating of her brother’s army issued K-9 bomb sniffing dog Trigger finds Audra facing her future in the guise of former Special Ops soldier Diggs, a man who struggles with the guilt and grief of losing a man he came to call brother. But a suspicious Audra goes on the run only to find herself the target of a unknown assailant who believes Audra knows more than what she is saying. What ensues is the quick building romance and relationship between Audra and Diggs, and the potential fall-out as Diggs is unable to let go of the guilt that continues to eat at his days and nights.

Former ordinance officer Diggs struggles with the memories of what happened and why. Unable to save the life of a fellow soldier, Diggs battles the daily shame and survivor’s remorse of leaving a comrade behind. Audra Wade suspects her brother’s death was no accident, and his cryptic message reveals more than anyone could have imagined but Audra’s life will hang in the balance when she becomes a victim of the people her brother was desperate to take down.

The relationship between Audra and Diggs, like in all of the previous instalments is one of immediate attraction; an insta-lust to love romance that goes from zero to sixty in a matter of minutes to hours. Neither injuries nor illness stop this group of warriors and the women they love from professing their love through sexual acts meant to comfort and appease-even near death experience result in a need to make love ;) . The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, most of the previous story line characters play secondary and supporting roles: Reaper and Caroline (Mayhems Warrior #1); Hicks and Whitney (Mayhem’s Desire #2), Dr. Melissa Averton; as well as teammates Juarez, King and an injured Quantum. The return of General Rainier brings with it a surprise for the Operation Mayhem survivors.

MAYHEM’S HERO is a story of betrayal, vengeance, family and love. If you are a fan of Christine Feehan’s GhostWalker series you will notice some similarities with the enhanced soldiers, and the man who is desperate for their return. The premise is entertaining and intriguing; the characters are strong and dynamic; the romance is energetic and hot.

I couldn't put it down until I'd finished.
Operation Mayhem is the team of former military men who were duped into taking a serum that enhanced their physical, and perhaps psychic, abilities. Their commander led them to believe they would be helping the government keep citizens safe. His intentions were not so altruistic. The guys escaped, and are now operating as out of sight as they can.
Diggs feels he is the weakest link in Operation Mayhem. He doesn't have any real, cool superpowers like his teammates in his opinion, suffers from survivor's guilt after a failed op left him and a teammate wounded and another teammate dead, and as the youngest son in a large family is used to being considered less than the others. He is ripe for some ego-boosting. Audra, after receiving the unsettling news of her beloved older brother's death, is trying to avenge him and save his K9 partner, Trigger. He left her with the words "Don't trust the military". Audra's dad has received the brother's possessions and is set to destroy them and the dog. Diggs and Audra meet when Diggs rescues the dog from a ghastly beating. Talk about "cute-meet". Diggs has no choice but to take Audra into the Mayhem compound (total security breach) to save Trigger. Needless to say, Audra is a bit unhinged around military-types and doesn't know who or what to trust. Many bad decisions are made and dangerous situations are encountered.
There is a lot of action and violence in this story. That is totally in context. Trigger, Audra's brother, and Operation Mayhem are part of the same ongoing storyline. Fortunately, the author includes a lot of backstory, so reading this book as a standalone is not a problem. As a heroine, though, Audra appeared almost too stupid to live. I get being panicked and unsure of one's next moves. This was over the top, in my opinion. But she did soothe Diggs' angst. I have developed a pet peeve regarding romantic interludes. These seem to take place when the characters are still bleeding and haven't had their wounds tended to, or the mud washed off their faces. Or bullets are flying by, It might sound romantic, but I found this unrealistic. A final pet peeve- the use of the word "badly". The correct word is "bad". If you want something badly, then you are doing a poor job of wanting something.
I give this book five stars. It was really engaging, and there is a Happy Ever After (for now). I will gladly read the books that follow.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lindsay Cross has yet another winner with this addition to the Men of Mayhem series.

Diggs has never felt like he was "enough" in his life. His brothers were better at every thing they did, he felt. He joined the service and became part of Team Mayhem, never did he think he would live the horrors he and his team did when they were part of an experiment to make a Super soldier. They were rescued but not before one of the worst experiences for Diggs, he couldn't save two of his team mates. He carries the guilt daily.

Audra has lost her only real family that she had left, her beloved brother. In a message/video she received from him right before he went out on his last mission, he told her not to trust the military and that something was going on. His belongings and service dog were sent to her father, or should I say sperm donor, and she went to get them.

Diggs and Audra met when she caught her father trying to beat the dog to death and at the same time Diggs saw it from the "compound".

The Mayhem team, while trying to track down the evil/crazy General Ranier, discovered that Audra's brother was involved in a situation that was somehow connected to Ranier and it cost a young man his life because he was trying to uncover the wrong being done. Now they need to put together the pieces and someone seems to think Audra has the information so she is no longer safe.

Diggs and Audra fight their attraction for so long, then give into it. He doesn't know where it will lead but feels he has nothing to offer her. Audra had such a terrible childhood and doesn't really know how to do "relationships" so it is a learning experience for both! It's their love and then his teammates that really convince Diggs of his worth and his major contribution to the Mayhem team.

There is plenty of action in this story as it goes on and the details always amaze me. Lindsay always does such a great job that you actually feel you are in the middle of the conflict along with the characters.

What more can I say...it's a great read! Oh! and I can't wait for the next book!!

"Diggs" has never felt comfortable with his position in Project Mayhem. He has guilt over not being able to rescue his teammates from General Ranier. He believes that each of his current teammates have a special attribute but not him. He is struggling to find a place when he sees a crime being committed that he stops, even if it means doing something he is not supposed to do.

Audra Wade's brother Jeremy was just killed overseas but sent a message to Audra before hand worrying about his safety. When she returns to her father's to collect Jeremy's service dog, Trigger, she realizes her father has him and knows she must save him.

When Audra and Diggs meet by chance with each trying to save Trigger they soon discover that Jeremy knew something so much bigger than they could have realized. When Audra's life is in danger it is up to Diggs and the other guys of Mayhem to get to the bottom of everything before it's too late?

This is another amazing book in the series and I am so happy with every book I read that they get better and better and I get more and more involved with all of the characters.

Diggs was definitely an interesting character as he had so many doubts about himself and his abilities. He had morals and was not about to put up with anyone hurting Trigger. Diggs was also kind of rough around the edges due to everything he had been through in the past.

I really liked Audra and felt bad with what she went through at the beginning of the book and everything that went from there. She was definitely a tough girl and I liked that she was able to stick to her guns several times when it was needed.

I was totally blown away by the end of the book and how everything went. I definitely was not expecting the twist and how everything seemed to go the opposite of what I thought was going to happen. I was definitely worried about Diggs and I was glad Audra was finally able to get through to him. My heart broke for King and I am curious to see if the next book is about him!

This is my favorite, so far, in the Operation Mayhem series. It is the third book, can be read as a stand-alone, but I would recommend starting at book one for the full backstory of the team.
Diggs has guilt over failing his best friend during their time in captivity when the team was first genetically altered to be super soldiers. He won't forgive himself that he too was at death's door. He should have found a way. He always seems to feel he has come up short....with his five brothers in his family, with his team letting some die or be severely damaged and he still keeps trying to be his very best and not to let anyone down.

Audra and Jeremy grew up with an abusive alcoholic father. Their mother was driven away early in their lives. Jeremy joined the Marines and was the handler for a bomb sniffing dog, Trigger. Audra fled her home as soon as she was an adult. Now she is back. Jeremy was killed and Trigger lost a leg. A cryptic message from Jeremy the day before he died makes it seem like they were sent into their death intentionally. Jeremy's personal items and Trigger were sent to their father. Audra is determined to save Trigger and all she has left of her brother.

Diggs and Audra cross paths when they try to save Trigger from being beaten by Audra's Dad. Diggs can't give up information about Operation Mayhem without risking his team. Audra can't trust anyone military, her own brother warned her not to. They are drawn together by a strong mutual attraction, but circumstances make it too hard for them to be together.

Someone wants to kill Audra too now. Diggs can't let that happen and gets his team involved. As they get closer to solving what happened to Jeremy, Diggs and Audra also get closer. Will they be able to overcome their fears and trust one another with their hearts? Enjoy this fast paced book with lots of heat and heart!

**I received a copy of Mayhem's Hero from the author and Foreward PR & Marketing in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

Mayhem's Hero is the third book by Lindsay Cross in her Operation Mayhem's series. I would recommend reading them in order so that you get the full effect of the series background. I've said it before that Ms. Cross writes stories that are action packed and that you're turning the page just to see what happens next.

The hero of this story is Diggs he believes that he doesn't have any super powers like the rest of the team and he's let them down. Little does he know that when he meets Audra who is trying to figure out why the government is not being honest on how exactly her brother died. When she finds her Dad is beating her brothers military war dog, Trigger and Diggs is willing to risk everything to save both Trigger and Audra. But when she leave the compound with the dog little does she know that that there is a possible connection between Audra, Trigger, Diggs and her late brother. Can Diggs save her in time when she's kidnapped?

Audra hates the military as they took away the only person whom she loved but when she receives a cryptic final message from him she doesn't know just how connected everything is to Mayhem. But she's the one who will heal Diggs guilt with her love and Trigger will play a huge part in taking down the person who killed brother. When both Diggs and Trigger are injured during the climatic ending how will the Dr. Averton save them?

Every book that is written in this series truly has the phrase "Sit down, Shut up and hang on because it's going to be another bumpy ride" and you will love this new addition. Will Reaper and the team be finally able to take down General before he can make more super soldiers? I can't wait for next book Mayhem's Hero is worth more than five stars.

Diggs has always felt like he didn't matter, and it didn't help that his family helped him come to that conclusion. When he joined Project Mayhem, he wasn't allowed to say anything about it to anyone, so it only reaffirmed that he didn't matter, even to his team. And Diggs feels overshadowed by his brothers on the team. Audra is heartbroken when her brother dies, and it only gets worse when she gets a last cryptic message from her brother before he was killed. Then, the military went and sent all of his things to their alcoholic father, and that's where she found his K-9 bomb dog Trigger being abused by said father. As she goes to save Trigger, she meets Diggs, who is also trying to save the dog. She feels an attraction for him, but she hates anything to do with the military, so she runs. And that's when she learns in the bad way that she's in the crosshairs of something very dangerous, and only Diggs & his team can help her, so will she learn to trust them? Mayhem's Hero was another super exciting read by the brilliant Lindsay Cross that I couldn't get enough of. This series is great in the way that it's about each team member, while a huge plot is afoot. And each new book is another step closer to all the answers. And if that's not awesome enough, it's got some super sexy times on the side that are HOT HOT HOT! Audra & DIggs are fantastic together, as they both have demons in their pasts that are awful. And the colorful cast of secondaries are all present & accounted for to keep me laughing, with the addition of the amazing dog, Trigger, who I loved so much! Finally, the insane twists around every corner makes for high suspense, and many f-bomb dropping moments, as they come out of left field! I'm ready for the next book in the EPIC series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

One of my favorite things about this series is that each book delivers on the action, suspense, and romance front.

Diggs has been through a lot, as have the other guys, but he still carries around a lot of guilt. He's still working through all of it while trying to find the threat and take care of it. But when they get new intel - he's called off of it to stay behind - something he's not happy about. Then he finds himself tangled up in something unexpected.

Audra has suffered herself, burying her brother and now trying to ensure that his K-9 partner will be taking care of properly. But she's also still struggling with her feelings about the loss of her brother. She blames the military and therefore knows nothing can come from anything between her and Diggs - but he's the only person who can help her.

I love the emotions this story brings out, the feelings between Audra and Diggs - it all flows well together and brings an amazing story together as they work through everything including their feelings for each other. Their's action and secrets and suspense and an amazing chemistry - but there's also a lot of pain and struggle to work through. You'll be hooked on these amazing characters and following their story until the end where you'll wish for more.

Lindsay Cross has written very compelling characters in each of the books of this series, characters that don't fit the normal mold - but rather stand out from it. With stories full of twists and turns, that keep you on the edge wondering what's coming next - there is never a dull moment.

Lindsay Cross - Mayhem's Hero (Operation Mayhem Series – Book 3)

Ms. Lindsay’s writing is always fresh, heart stopping, nail biting worthy. You will never go wrong with one of her books. The Black Ops Team Mayhem series is no exception. Mayhem starts with The Men of Mercy series. If this is your first book of Ms. Cross’s, I suggest that you read book 1 of Men of Mercy, but, you don’t have too. She writes enough background for a new reader that you will be able to jump right in.

This novel is about Diggs and a new character, Audra. They both bring a lot of damage and baggage to the table with a lot of guilt, shame and pain. After Diggs rescues a dog being beaten to death outside of their compound gates, Audre shows up. The dog, Trigger, was her brothers that was used in the military. Now her brother is dead, murdered, and Trigger, a K-9 Dog, is the only thing that she has left of him. Audre’s brother sent her a video the night before he died and told her that something was wrong, and he may be in trouble for snooping around. He also stated that she was to trust no one even the military. So, Audre knew that Diggs and his friends were military or had been, therefore, she made a terrible decision. She ran away from the only people who could save her and find out what happened to her brother, but, now the bad guys are after her because she may know too much.

The team must find her before it’s too late. In fact, Audre’s Brother’s murder is tied into the Mayhem Team’s issue with General Rainer and the horrible experiments he did on the Mayhem Team. Don’t miss this wonderful installment and get closer to the men of Operations Mayhem and being free of General Reiner. If you like Military Romance, Protective Alpha males and a chance to witness HEA, then you must read this installment.

Another wonderful read from this author, I love this series and it just keeps getting better and better. This book is full of intrigue, suspense, action and some serious chemistry between Diggs and Audra! Diggs is feeling full of self pity, he feels he let his team down when they needed him the most. Saving a dog from a savage beating brings the beautiful Audra crashing into his life. Audra is still reeling from her brothers death, his dog is the only thing she has left belonging to him. Before his death he sends her a message to not trust any one in the military. Though Diggs helps her and trigger, she runs and gets into trouble that only Diggs and his team can get her out of. There’s a few revelations, can Audra put her trust in Diggs to find out what happened to her brother? Can Diggs get over his insecurities to help Audra and get the woman he loves? You will have to read to find out!!
Every book I’ve read in this series I’ve thought the can’t do better than that, but she does!! She keeps you on the edge of your seat and there’s enough action that keeps you turning the pages. I love how each team member story is so different, just like the woman they love. I can’t wait for the next book in this series, wish I could give more than 5*!
